When Vibha Harish was diagnosed with PCOS in 2016, she discovered that quick fixes and patchwork solutions weren’t enough. Determined to find lasting relief, she turned to plant-based, rooted remedies and, together with her husband Soorya Jagadish, turned that personal healing journey into Cosmix, a wellness brand that blends honest nutrition, sustainability, and farmer partnerships.
“For me, managing PCOS meant understanding the root causes of digestion, inflammation, lifestyle not masking symptoms,” Vibha says. That conviction shaped every decision behind Cosmix: simple, additive-free formulations that support gut health and long-term wellbeing.
Healing that starts at home (and on the farm)

Cosmix began as a modest experiment in 2019. Vibha and her small team focused on everyday kitchen herbs jeera (cumin), ginger, fennel, turmeric and ashwagandha prepared to maximize potency rather than to mask flavour. The early products weren’t designed to be the tastiest on the shelf; they were made to work.
What sets Cosmix apart is where and how those ingredients are sourced. Instead of buying commodity herbs, Vibha and Soorya built direct relationships with farmers across India. They block quantities from growers in Gadag, Chikmagalur, Mahabaleshwar and other regions drying, powdering and extracting ingredients on their own terms. Each batch undergoes third-party lab testing at FSSAI-approved, NABL-accredited labs for purity, heavy metals and microbes.
“Quality starts at the origin,” Soorya explains. “We partner with farmers, agree on harvests, and pay for materials that meet our standards so customers get traceable, effective formulas and farmers get fair demand and predictable income.”
Products designed for gut health and honest choices

Cosmix’s flagship offerings gentle plant proteins, digestion blends like My Happy Gut, and herbal sleep aids like Sleep Like a Baby were developed with digestive comfort in mind. Rather than emulsifiers or bulking agents, the formulations emphasize digestive herbs (ginger, fennel, cumin, fenugreek) and natural flavourings like real vanilla bean and cocoa powder. Monk fruit provides sweetness without refined sugar.
Clinicians featured in Cosmix’s story point to the value of anti-inflammatory, plant-based foods for metabolic and hormonal health. While research continues, many users report reduced bloating, steadier energy, and improved well-being after switching to clean, gut-oriented formulas.
Sustainability woven into product design

Cosmix’s sustainability choices are more than marketing. From glass jars to biodegradable scoops made from agricultural husks and starch, packaging reflects a commitment to the planet. “We refused to use plastic scoops; they’re one of the most wasteful parts of protein packaging,” Soorya notes. Instead, the brand worked with local manufacturers to develop scoops that return to soil rather than landfill.
That ethos extends to ingredient selection, small-batch processing, and a deliberate, community-first growth model.
Growth with purpose and room to scale

Starting as a small, bootstrapped venture, Cosmix focused on trust-building, product efficacy, and customer listening rather than rapid scale. The pandemic-era shift to prioritizing health accelerated demand for plant-based alternatives; Cosmix’s products resonated with customers seeking gentle, sustainable nutrition.
Today the company employs a growing team across operations, manufacturing, logistics and marketing. Their early success demonstrates that a brand built on personal healing, farmer partnerships and sustainable packaging can also be commercially viable creating livelihoods on both ends of the supply chain.
Why this matters to the social sector
Cosmix’s journey connects three powerful social priorities: women’s health, small-farmer empowerment, and environmental stewardship. By sourcing directly from farmers and investing in sustainable packaging, the brand channels consumer spending into rural incomes and reduces plastic waste. By centering Vibha’s experience with PCOS, it also highlights how lived experience can lead to solutions that serve many.
For organisations like Take Care International Foundation, Cosmix is a case study in mission-aligned entrepreneurship: how one woman’s health challenge catalysed a business that heals bodies, supports farmers, and protects the planet.
